What is the Process of Botox?

During the initial consultation, your face will be examined to determine the areas that would be recommended for BOTOX. As it is an in-office treatment, it can be administered immediately after the consultation. The formulation will be placed into the specified areas of your forehead or upper face using a fine-gauge needle. BOTOX uses a purified type A strain of botulinum toxin that works to temporarily block the muscles that enable facial expressions, letting the overlying skin rebound on its own. For baby BOTOX, we use a smaller amount of the medication to provide a more natural look. The treatment itself takes about 5 – 10 minutes to carry out, and most patients report only mild discomfort.
